Meet John
In your own words, what do you do at SGTS Inc.?
I oversee our engineering and technical services, making sure our systems are designed to meet client needs and that our teams deliver reliable, effective solutions. I also work closely with account managers to ensure projects run smoothly from planning through post-installation support.

What’s one skill or area of expertise you bring to the team?
A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving. I’ve worked across engineering, service, and customer-facing roles, so I understand both the technical details and the importance of strong client relationships.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Solving complex technical challenges and watching our team turn them into real-world solutions that keep people safe.

What’s a fun fact or hidden talent most people don’t know about you?
During college, I interned with the Madison Children’s Museum and helped build interactive exhibits — most of them are still in use today!

Favorite ice cream flavor?
Cookies and cream — can’t go wrong with a classic.

What was your first job?
Working at my dad’s auto repair shop. I learned a lot about mechanics, patience, and how to troubleshoot under pressure.
If you had to survive a zombie apocalypse with only what’s in your truck (or desk), how long would you last?
If the truck’s fully stocked with tools and spare parts? I’d give myself a solid week — maybe longer if the zombies are scared of duct tape and zip ties.
